Anyone that is a fan of children’s movies and television programs would love to see a list of the favorite 10 best young child actors from other fans. There are far more than just 10, but here are at least 10 best young child actors that you might be a fan of too. They are listed in no particular order.

1. Shirley Temple Shirley Temple starred in the movie "Curly Top". This movie centers on a young orphan and her quest to find understanding of the world around her.  She meets with people and cheers them up with her song and dance. Temple went on to work in politics, but audiences will continue to treasure her movies for years to come.  
2. Miranda Cosgrove Miranda Cosgrove is known for her television show called "iCarly". She plays a young girl that hosts an Internet podcast show. Her character called "Carly", interacts in a comedic manner with her friends, family and fans. She has gone on to do a music album and show great promise.
3. Jodie Foster Jodie Foster is another great on the list for the 10 best young child actors. She had a little known role on a television show called "Adam 12" back in the seventies—she played a little girl that screams. As an adult she has continued her career with "Silence of the Lambs" where she plays an agent that has to contend with a crazy flesh eating man.
4. Dakota Fanning Dakota Fanning is one favorite for many movie fans for her role in the movie "Cat in the Hat". It is a classic children's book based on a cat and two children. She plays the good child that goes through a series of adventures with the cat. She was really charming.
5. Abigail Breslin Abigail Breslin is one of the 10 best young child actors for her role in "Little Miss Sunshine". She played a little girl that wants to be a beauty queen. Her goal is pursued with her family on a trip that can only be categorized as unique.
6. Kirsten Dunst Kirsten Dunst is known by many of her fans as the vampire child from in the screen adaptation of "Interview With a Vampire". Aside from showing maturity well beyond her years, she has her first on screen kiss in this film with none other than Brad Pitt. This role was amazing for such a young actor.
7. Miley Cyrus Miley Cyrus has to be the most famous of the 10 best young child actors today. She started as a singer in the television series called "Hannah Montana". In that show she lives a double life as a child rock star by night, and a regular kid by day. She has gone on to have a singing career and an acting career as a teen.
8. Jaden Smith Jaden Smith has just launched his career as one of the 10 best young child actors. He did so in the movie "Karate Kid". This was a remake of the classic movie, "Karate Kid" back in the eighties. He plays a little boy that goes to Asia to be with his mother. He then goes on to learn Karate from a master. It is a touching movie.
9. Jason Bateman Jason Bateman got his start as a child actor in the television series called "Silver Spoons". He played a young child of a billionaire. That role launched a career in acting that is still successful to this day.
10. Christina Ricci Christina Ricci starred in the movie "Mermaids" with Cher. Her role was the child of a woman that has some commitment issues. Her older sister had some issues as well. All of them go through a journey that is centered on the aftermath of the loss of their father.
